Role Description 

Pivt is looking for a detail oriented and self-motivated Director of Business Development to increase company revenue and identify the most profitable business opportunities. This position will be equally responsible for both developing the ongoing growth strategies as well as executing on them. 

Ideal candidates will be able to consistently bring creative business development improvements to the table, prioritize new market opportunities, lead B2B sales conversations, and attend pitch meetings with clients and advisors. Internally, this person will be expected to show strong business acumen, demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills, be an efficient and deft problem solver, and demonstrate comfort in a leadership role. 

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Becoming an expert in the company’s main offerings and value proposition while maintaining a seamless ability to articulate them to a variety of clients 
  • Building strong and meaningful external relationships with customers, vendors, and distributors, while simultaneously developing report with the internal Pivt team
  • Working directly with Pivt’s CEO to develop business development and growth strategies that expand and prioritize all market opportunities 
  • Owning the entire sales process from outreach to education; proposals to close
  • Identifying, managing, and constantly developing strategic partnerships to help Pivt grow its impact and reach 
  • Selecting the proper software and organizational platforms that meet company needs and developing the use case playbook for best practices on each 
  • Working with the CEO to set, meet, and exceed performance goals for all employees that work in the sales and marketing functions of the company 
  • Communicating customer feedback and new opportunities to the product development team 

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field
  • Master’s degree a plus 
  • Proven business development, sales, and/or marketing experience 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications 
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills 
  • Exceptional leadership and people-management skills and experience
  • Strong business acumen with effectiveness in communication and negotiation
  • Self starter, with ability to take initiative and be constantly proactive
