Companies have been forced to implement new types of benefits to prioritize employee well-being and address the negative ramifications of social isolation. Pivt is at the forefront of this initiative

Role Description 

Pivt is looking for a technical lead to maintain the strategy and roadmap for all of the company’s technical product development and integration. This role will be an integral part of the company’s overall strategy and technical capabilities, while working hand in hand with the internal leadership team. In addition to being a member of the company’s leadership team, the Director of Product and Development will be the key point of contact and liaison between company leadership and external development vendors and team(s). 

As the company grows, achieves scale, and continues to iterate on its full product suite development, this candidate will be considered front of the line when evaluating the need for a Chief Technology Officer (CTO). 

Roles and Responsibilities 

  • Set, maintain, and direct vision for company’s technological platform and capabilities
  • Build and manage internal/external development team and resources in accordance with overall company goals and product roadmap 
  • Develop resource needs and forecasts to ensure all short-term and long-term goals can be satisfactorily accomplished with the tech resources and personnel at hand
  • Outline and iterate upcoming research and development goals and product roadmap
  • Create and management development, QA/testing, and deployment timelines
  • Act in a leadership role for company’s development and technical team members and vendors 
  • Make executive decisions regarding all technical requirements, prioritizations, and needs 
  • Maintain a consumer-focussed approach to aid in the delivery of new projects to market
  • Manage all technology-related budgets, personnel needs, and timelines
  • Ensure that all technology products and practices adhere to regulatory standards 

Requirements 

  • Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field 
  • 8 years of experience working in a technical role 
  • 5 years of experience working in a management/leadership role 
  • Proven ability to forecast resource and technical requirements 
  • Past experience building an IT team from the ground up 
  • Comfort and reliability working with both small and large teams 
  • Ability to delegate efficiently 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a talent for distilling and translating complicated scenarios into easily understood concepts 
  • Extensive industry knowledge, an eye towards the future, and deep understanding and familiarity with upcoming technological capabilities and trends
